Elizabeth--that's why I had to post them! I know we won't have chats like those forever. :)
Cicely--haiku restraints made it difficult to gauge my meaning on the first of those, I was going for the fact that she could have waited till just before the Masters tournament to break her news instead of at the beginning of the NCAA basketball tournament and gotten even MORE attention for herself.
I certainly hope the Wal-Mart incident was some stupid customer. I also hope that they figure out who it was even though that seems like a one in a million shot.
I completely agree with the stupidity of people who never had children who assume that they would know better how to "control" them. I'd like to see them switch places with some harried parents for even 24 hours and see if they still had such a high opinion of their parenting skills.
As for the parents themselves, I am fairly certain at least 95% of parents who have to fly with children make every effort to calm them if they get upset, but there are the handful that make it difficult for the rest of us to travel because they don't seem to make much effort at all to calm them down...or worse, they yell at their very young child, making it even more of a horrible situation for all. Sigh.
